The power of knowing who you areπŸ™πŸ½

Hey everyone!! I’ve missed you all, and I hope you all missed me❀️

Recently, I haven’t been able to catch my breath because things have been happening left and right. Before I can heal from one situation..another thing would happen almost immediately and I felt like I was drowning in it.

I still have priorities to attend too, therefore I had to keep it moving no matter what was happening! There’s pros and cons to doing that. When you keep it moving you allow yourself to focus on the other tasks ahead and still accomplish other commitments…on the other hand, moving forward without properly healing can start to leak out into other areas of your life!

All of those situations just reminded me of the story of Job in the Bible…he experienced several deaths back to back without having time to grieve the first one. He was tempted to doubt God, but deep down in his soul.. he knew there was a plan in the midst of pain. I admire Job because he expressed his pain to the Lord but he never forgot who he was! When I say that, I’m referring to the fact that in the Bible it says that he never sinned by blaming God for all the losses in his life.

It’s soooo easy to forgot who you are in the midst of tragedy, or just something that you may simply not understand. Even though everything was happening all at one time around me, I never forgot who I was…which made it easy to never forget who GOD was! I am his child. I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for breadπŸ™πŸ½

Even in knowing who I was… that didn’t take away the pain of it all. I absolutely felt the hurt in the midst of it all.. and I made sure that I took time to get it all out of my system and allowed myself to heal from the hurt.

Never forget who you are, but also allow yourself time to grieve your situations. Don’t mask it by keeping busy and tricking yourself into believing you are “OK”. It’s ok to not be OK. We actually damage ourselves by suppressing our pain and using people and things to cover it up…..

Pray. Heal. Pray. Heal. (REPEAT)

Proverbs 3:4-6

“..Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take”
